Another Week in Slovenia and Surrounding Countries—Spring Break

The following pictures are a little on the dated side.  These are back from right before the ending of Easter break.  My travels to pick up and drop off Doug at the airport resulted in many hours spent in Venice.  The second time around, these photos, were very plentiful as I had over 12 hours to spend in the city with 10 Euros to get me through the next week.  It was interesting to say the least.  So picture taking and book reading kept me busy.  Tacked onto the end of this album are the pictures that I took while Dr. Russo was here to check out the program at the University of Ljubljana.  There are some additional photos of Bled.

Spring break consisted of friends, rain, and national holidays.  The national holidays were the worst part of our week off.  Unlike in America national holidays over here mean absolutely everything is closed!!! With no restaurants and grocery stores we entertained each other in random dorms and took lots of naps.  Three national holidays were packed into this one week.  It was insane, but even more interesting was the rain that came down during this time period.  Thunderstorms were constant throughout the week.  So what was our group little group of people going to do on yet another rainy Saturday, but leave the country.  We took off to the beautiful city of Zagreb, Croatia to enjoy yet another day of traveling before the thunderstorms caught up to us.
