This evening has now been a typical Monday night. (The studious individuals who went out drinking are finding their ways back, not necessarily home, but to the dorms at least.) This happens on a regular basis during the weekdays. I now expect, but not this early, or this (not even sure what to call it) perhaps creatively. Tonight I awoke at 2:00 am to people in the parking lot singing along with an accordian. Although it is obviously dark and there is not much to see, you are more than welcome to listen to a video of them 'doing their thing.'
The next couple of weeks I guarantee you that I will have more exciting posts as starting next Monday I am on Easter Break until the following Tuesday. I cannot wait. I only have one more two more classes between me and more traveling! This week I am off for a day in Venice on Thursday as my boyfriend is flying into the Venice Airport that afternoon. I was going to wait to see Venice with him for the first time; however, I found out that I cannot simply rent a car to go straight to the Venice Airport from Ljubljana. Normally this would be no big deal, pay the money and make the two hour drive there. But it doesn't work this way in my case. I am not old enough to rent a car! It is crazy to think that I can drink, not to mention have all of the other rights over here, but my age restricts me from physically renting a car! So I will venture onto the same night train that I took last weekend, but head west instead of east! City of water here I come!
While I am explaining the upcoming travels, I might as well go on...after spending the weekend showing Doug around Ljubljana and him renting a car so I can show him some of the highlights of this gorgeous little country, we are headed back to Venice to catch a plane headed to Rome. I cannot wait to see this wonderful city. Our return flight isn't until a few days later, so Pompeii may be another destination (I really want to go there, my fingers are crossed that time allows!!!)
More posts soon,
Take care,
Jamie
